Getting Started
Garden Party runs inside Genshin Impact’s Miliastra Wonderland. Here is how to get in:
- Install Genshin Impact. Garden Party is a stage inside Genshin Impact, so you need the game installed on your PC, mobile device, or console. Genshin Impact is free to download from hoyoverse.com.
- Complete the Prologue. You need to finish Archon Quest Prologue Act I to unlock Miliastra Wonderland. This takes roughly 30 minutes if you are starting fresh.
- Open the Paimon Menu and select Miliastra Wonderland. This is the gateway to all community-created stages, including Garden Party.
- Find Garden Party. You can search for the stage using the stage ID for your server region (America, Europe, or Asia). Alternatively, visit the HoYoLab stage page linked on our site to add it to your favorites, then find it in the Miliastra Wonderland menu.
- Enter the stage. Once you load in, you will spawn in the garden. You can play solo or invite up to 3 friends for a total of 4 players in co-op.
- Pick your language. Garden Party supports 15 languages, so you can play in whichever language you are most comfortable with.
Planting Your First Crops
Garden Party features 6 crops you can grow: Carrot, Berry, Sunsettia, Corn, Radish, and Sweet Flower. Each crop has a different growth time and sell price, so you will want to experiment and find what works best for your playstyle.
To plant a crop:
- Visit the shop to purchase seeds. The shop stocks a random selection of seeds and refreshes its inventory every 5 minutes, so check back often if you do not see the seeds you want.
- Find an open plot in the garden and plant your seeds.
- Wait for your crop to grow — or speed things up dramatically with watering (more on that below).
Each crop grows at its own pace. Some, like Carrots, grow quickly but sell for less. Others, like Sweet Flowers, take longer but are worth significantly more. Check the Crops Guide for a full breakdown of growth times, sell prices, and harvest yields for all 6 crops.
Watering Your Crops
Watering is the single most important mechanic for speeding up crop growth. Each crop has a water level from 0 to 5, and every level doubles the growth speed:
- Level 0 — Normal growth (1x speed)
- Level 1 — 2x growth speed
- Level 2 — 4x growth speed
- Level 3 — 8x growth speed
- Level 4 — 16x growth speed
- Level 5 — 32x growth speed
That means a fully watered crop at level 5 grows 32 times faster than an unwatered one. The difference is enormous, so you should water your crops as often as possible.
Keep in mind that water decays over time — your crops will gradually lose water levels, so you need to keep coming back to maintain that 32x boost. Consistent watering is the key to fast harvests.
For the full details on water decay rates and optimal watering strategies, read the Watering Guide.
Harvesting and Selling
Once a crop is fully grown, walk up to it and harvest it. The harvested crop goes into your inventory, and from there you can sell it at the sell zone in the garden.
Selling crops earns you Clover, the in-game currency. Clover is used to buy more seeds, unlock upgrades, and progress through the game. The amount of Clover you earn depends on the crop type and any mutations it may have developed (more valuable mutations mean bigger payouts).

Mutations
One of Garden Party’s most exciting mechanics is the mutation system. Crops can develop special mutations that multiply their sell value, making each harvest a potential surprise.
Harvest Mutations
When you harvest a crop, it has a chance to roll a rare mutation. These are ranked from most common to rarest:
- Golden — A solid bonus to sell value
- Shiny — Rarer and more valuable
- Blessed — A lucky find
- Rainbow — Very rare and highly prized
- Luminous — The rarest mutation in the game
Weather Mutations
The garden’s weather changes every 5 minutes and can also trigger crop mutations:
- Wet — Triggered by rain (30% chance during rainy weather)
- Chilled — Triggered by snow (30% chance during snowy weather)
- Frozen — A special combined mutation when a crop has both Wet and Chilled
Weather in Garden Party follows a cycle: Sunny (60% of the time), Rainy (20%), and Snowy (20%). When rain or snow hits, keep an eye on your crops for weather mutations — they add extra value at the sell zone.
For the complete mutation list and probabilities, check the Mutations Guide.
Daily Quests and Progression
Garden Party has a daily quest system that gives you goals to work toward each day. You receive 3 daily quests per day, and completing all 3 earns you a bonus Common Seed Pack on top of the individual quest rewards.
Beyond daily quests, you earn XP by completing milestones — achievements tied to farming, selling, mutations, and other in-game activities. As you earn XP, you level up and unlock new rewards, additional crop slots, expanded backpack space, and decoration options.
The progression system gives you long-term goals to chase even after you have mastered the farming basics. For a full breakdown of milestones and level rewards, see the Progression Guide and the Daily Quests page.
Tips for New Players
Here are some practical tips to help you get the most out of your first sessions in Garden Party:
- Water your crops constantly. The jump from level 0 to level 5 watering is a 32x speed increase. This is by far the fastest way to boost your output. Make it a habit to water every time you walk past your plots.
- Check the shop often. The shop refreshes every 5 minutes with a random selection of seeds. If you want a specific crop, keep checking back — it will show up eventually.
- Focus on high-value crops early. Once you understand growth times and sell prices, shift toward the crops that give you the best Clover per minute. The Crops Guide has the numbers you need.
- Watch for rare weather. Rain and snow only happen 20% of the time each, but they can trigger valuable Wet and Chilled mutations. When the weather shifts, pay attention to your crops.
- Complete your daily quests. The bonus Common Seed Pack for finishing all 3 quests is worth the effort. Daily quests also help you try different activities you might not explore on your own.
- Play with friends. Garden Party supports up to 4 players in co-op. Farming together is more fun, and you can coordinate watering and planting for maximum efficiency.
